What: Going back to the 1890’s, here are some rare vintage postcards on display at the exhibition titled Globetrotters: Early Postcards from the Indian Subcontinent. The exhibition captures the evolution of postcards from 1890 to 1947 in major metropolitan cities across the subcontinent, highlighting the associated themes of urbanism, popular culture, industrialisation, tourism and conflict. It begins with the representation of the presidency states and ends with popular images of Shimla, Ooty and Kashmir.
