What: Indulge in celebrating art, culture and literature with Jashn-e-Adab poetry festival. Jashn-e-Adab (Sahityaostav) society is known for its literary activities across the nation since 2012. It has also paved a path for a number of young artists and poets by providing them a platform and an opportunity to meet and perform alongside renowned artists. In its eighth edition, the three-day festival promises sessions promoting art, culture and literature like panel discussions, classical, Sufi and ghazal singing, Qawwali, grand mushaira and kavi sammelan, youth mushaira, mazahiya mushaira, play, Bait-Bazi, Dastangoi, book release and book exhibition, Ilmi Baazar, food court serving ‘Zaiqa Hindustan Ka’ among others.

What: Bringing back some of the greatest tunes of all time and adding to it their own style, ‘The Revisit Project’ is all about paying tribute to the distinguished musicians and giving a new rendition for some of their best hits. Get ready to enjoy their performance this weekend as they explore more and give out to the audience a newer version of these songs while keeping them all hooked and nostalgic. With saxophone on the lead, it is purely an instrumental band giving the feel of a jam band with some whacked out musicians.

What: Here’s an exhibition that will take you on an immersive journey, giving you the opportunity to understand the perilous journey embarked upon by millions of refugees across the world in a way that is visual, tactile, engaging and transformative. Titled, ‘Passage to Asylum’, it raises some important questions. What would make you leave everything you own and everyone you know for a future filled with uncertainty? How afraid would you have to be before you decide that getting on a boat — overfull, flimsy, half-capsizing — is safer than just staying at home? What kind of trauma in your past would make you feel lucky to spend your days as an unwelcome outsider in a foreign land? Drop in to explore the answers to these questions.
