Delhi: A 19-year-old man was killed and another injured after their scooty allegedly collided with a DTC bus in the Ranhola area here on Tuesday, police said.
The accident took place around 4:15 pm on the Najafgarh-Nangloi Road near Rathi Hospital in west Delhi, where police found the DTC bus plying on route number 940 and a scooter.
Police said the deceased, Himanshu, 19, a resident of Bahadurgarh in Haryana, was lying unconscious near the bus with severe head injuries and profuse bleeding.
He was rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Mangol Puri, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police said another pillion rider identified as Monu Kumar, 24, was admitted to Rathi Hospital.
His medical examination report stated that he sustained injuries in a road accident and was unfit to give a statement.

Police arrested the DTC bus driver, Amit Dahiya, 33, who was present at the scene.
The crime team inspected the accident site and collected relevant exhibits, taking them into police possession.
Police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and further investigation is underway, police said.
