In 1958, Patriot was launched as a daily newspaper by freedom fighter Aruna Asaf Ali. In subsequent decades, it reached most Delhi homes and all its institutions, occupying the pride of place with a handful of other newspapers published from the national capital that made up the ‘Delhi press’.
In its millennial avatar, Patriot is a weekly 12-page tabloid that captures the essence of life in the city and its neighbourhood. Our website www.thepatriot.in, Twitter handle— @patriot_Delhi, Instagram handle — @thepatriot_in, Facebook page — Patriot News and YouTube channel — The Patriot, provide our readers with glimpses of the cultural scene of Delhi and its neighbourhood as well as news reports, insightful features, detailed explainers and mesmerising photo and video stories that capture the many moods of the National Capital Region.
Patriot goes beyond the traditional reporting copybooks, bringing you hyperlocal coverage of events, views and news that directly impact you. From monitoring the impact of global climate change on the NCR to discovering local sporting talents, from charting the course of LGBT+ movement in the NCR to reviewing cinema, plays and books about the NCR, we take a lot of pride in being the only paper that provides local perspectives on global events.
In short, Patriot’s content is tailor-made for you, the discerning, well-informed and culturally curious fellow dwellers of the National Capital Region.
