Delhi Weather: City records min temp of 16.3 deg C

Delhi Weather: Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 16.3 degrees Celsius on Sunday, 1.8 notches below the seasonal average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The relative humidity level stood at 32 per cent at 8 am in Delhi weather.

Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 141, in the ‘moderate’ category, at 9 am, according to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data.

An AQI between 0-50 is considered ‘good’, 51-100 ‘satisfactory’, 101-200 ‘moderate’, 201-300 ‘poor’, 301-400 ‘very poor’, and 401-500 ‘severe’.

Delhi govt asks schools to seek police help on noise, parking woes

The Delhi government has instructed all private and government schools to formally approach the police regarding unauthorised parking and unnecessary honking around educational institutions as part of efforts to curb noise pollution. In an order issued on Thursday, the Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) directed schools to compile an ‘Action Taken Report’ (ATR) detailing the measures implemented to control noise pollution and submit it by March 3. This directive follows a letter from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), which urged schools to enforce the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2002, by liaising with local police station heads (SHOs) and preparing an ATR.

Decomposed body of woman found inside bed box in Delhi

The decomposed body of a woman was found in a bed storage box, wrapped in a blanket, inside a flat in Shahdara, Delhi, on Friday, according to police reports. The flat’s owner, Vivekanand Mishra, aged between 55 and 60, has been taken into custody and is currently being interrogated, police said. The woman’s identity, estimated to be between 35 and 40 years old, has not yet been confirmed. A PCR call was received at the Vivek Vihar Police Station reporting a foul odour emanating from a DDA flat in the area. Upon arrival, officers found the flat locked from the outside and noticed traces of blood near the rear door, stated Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Prashant Gautam.
