The Delhi Police has arrested ten people after teams launched a coordinated crackdown against the online transmission, downloading, storage and circulation of child sexual exploitation and abuse material (CSEAM), an officer said on Sunday.

The action was taken over the past five days after police received international cyber tipline inputs and conducted technical analysis pointing to alleged online activities involving child sexual abuse material, a senior police officer said.

Police said based on electronic tracing and digital scrutiny, police teams conducted simultaneous raids at multiple locations and registered 10 FIRs under relevant provisions of the POCSO Act and the Information Technology Act at police stations, including IP Estate, Paharganj, Jama Masjid, Kamla Market, Patel Nagar and Chandni Mahal.

Police said the accused were allegedly involved in uploading and circulating child sexual abuse material online and their identities have not been disclosed as the investigation continues.

They said police seized mobile phones and other digital devices suspected of being used in the offences during the operation. Police said the devices have been sent for forensic examination.

Investigators are analysing the seized electronic evidence and additional digital footprints to identify more suspects linked to the network. Police said further arrests are likely as the probe progresses.
