A 35-year-old man was found dead at his rented accommodation in northeast Delhi’s Karawal Nagar area on Wednesday, police said.

The victim, identified as Subhash, was found by authorities after a PCR call was received at 7:15 am regarding a body at a residence in Ambedkar Vihar.

The landlord, Satish Bhadana, has been apprehended in connection with the case.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northeast) Joy Tirkey said that preliminary investigations revealed Bhadana allegedly assaulted Subhash over a monetary dispute.

The postmortem conducted at GTB Hospital indicated multiple internal injuries, including a head injury and perforated intestine.

During interrogation, Bhadana admitted to the assault, citing missing money from his money box, leading to suspicions of theft by Subhash. (With inputs from PTI)
