
Police said on Thursday that following a quarrel, some schoolmates and a few outsiders allegedly assaulted a 14-year-old student at a government school in Mohan Garden area of Delhi.
The incident came to light after the Mohan Garden police station received a PCR call at 6:38 pm on Tuesday regarding a quarrel among students of Government Senior Secondary School in Mohan Garden, they said.
Police said the injured boy, Class 10 student, was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital and was later referred to the AIIMS Trauma Centre. According to police, the victim’s father works as a security guard and his mother is employed at a garment shop in Mohan Garden.
Police said they registered an FIR under Sections 110 (attempt to commit culpable homicide) and 3(5) (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

They said efforts are underway to identify and apprehend everyone involved in the assault, including the outsider students. Further investigation is underway, police said.
