
An unidentified man with multiple injuries to his hand and head was found dead in a pool of blood near a government school in Naraina Vihar Delhi here on Monday, an official said.
The body, aged around 30, was found near the boundary of Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in Naraina Vihar in West Delhi, police said. “Police received information about the body from locals at the Naraina police station at 7 am, after which a police team reached the spot,” a senior police officer said.
Police received a PCR call regarding the same incident.
The man was found lying naked in a pool of blood, police said, adding that a substantial amount of blood appeared to have oozed from his head.
During inspection of the body and the crime scene, police found a tattoo bearing the names “Anand” and “Renu” on his left forearm. Police are making efforts to establish his identity.
Prima facie, the death appears to be homicidal, police said.
Police are investigating the circumstances leading to the man’s death and they have initiated necessary legal proceedings and are examining evidence collected from the scene as part of the investigation.
Further investigation is underway, police said.
