A 17-year-old boy was shot and injured after three men allegedly opened fire at him near a foot overbridge in Azadpur area of northwest Delhi, police said on Tuesday.

The victim, Aryan, a resident of Jahangirpuri, suffered two gunshot wounds and was rushed to the trauma centre in Civil Lines, an officer said.

Police received information about the incident from the hospital around 10.14 PM on Monday.

According to Aryan’s mother Neetu, who witnessed the attack, she was standing near the foot overbridge opposite the main gate of a colony in Azadpur along with her son and two others—Ranjeeta and Nikhil—when the accused arrived and opened fire.
