A 40-year-old woman was found murdered in her home in southeast Delhi’s Jamia Nagar early Monday morning. Police said she had suffered multiple stab wounds, and her husband’s second wife—who lived with her in the same flat—has confessed to the killing.

According to officials, the husband resides in Saudi Arabia. The accused woman, who shared the fourth-floor apartment with her three sons aged 14, 13, and six, reportedly told investigators that ongoing domestic disputes and a sense of personal insecurity drove her to commit the crime.

In a chilling twist, police revealed that the two elder sons also admitted to participating in the stabbing, which allegedly followed a heated argument that turned violent.

The Delhi Police received a PCR call around 4.25 am, initially reporting a suspected theft and possible violence. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim lying in a pool of blood, with multiple stab injuries to her neck and abdomen. There were no signs of forced entry, suggesting the assailants were known to the woman.

Officials said frequent quarrels between the two women over household matters had been reported in the past.

In a separate incident in northwest Delhi’s Mangolpuri area, a 17-year-old boy sustained stab injuries to his leg on Saturday evening following a minor altercation.

Police said they were informed by Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital around 7 pm about the admission of a youth with stab wounds. The victim later told police he had been attacked around 5.30 pm while returning from Avantika Market.

Near L-block park, a group of boys confronted him. When he attempted to flee, one assailant stabbed him in the thigh. The group fled the scene after the attack. A local resident rushed the injured teen to the hospital.

Doctors confirmed the injuries were consistent with a physical assault involving multiple wounds, but noted that they were limited to the leg. The youth is currently in stable condition and receiving treatment.

Based on his statement, a case has been registered at Mangolpuri police station. Authorities said efforts are underway to identify and apprehend those involved.
