The Delhi Police  arrested a man who murdered his live-in partner and absconded after concealing her body in an almirah at a house in Dwarka, officials said.

The accused, Vipal Tailor, was apprehended in Rajasthan and is currently being transported back to Delhi, they said.

The incident came to light on April 4 when the victim’s father, unable to reach his 26-year-old daughter for several days, contacted the police.

“We apprehended Vipal Tailor in Rajasthan on Monday, and a team is en route to bring him back to Delhi,” a senior police officer stated.

On April 3, the woman’s father contacted the police at 10:40 pm, expressing concerns that his daughter might have been harmed. Consequently, a team from Dabri police station swiftly responded to the residence in Dwarka’s Rajapuri area.

Upon arrival, police discovered the woman’s body concealed inside an almirah. The father alleged that her live-in partner was responsible for her demise, authorities confirmed. (With inputs from PTI)
