Three individuals were arrested, and a juvenile was apprehended for allegedly robbing a man and his domestic help at knifepoint in his residence in Sarai Rohilla, north Delhi, police said on Tuesday.
The suspects were identified as Jaskirat, also known as Aman (25), Mukul (22), Arjun, also known as Nonnu (22), and a 17-year-old boy, all residing in the same area as the victim, according to police.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Raja Banthia stated that a PCR call was received on October 8 regarding a robbery at a house in Sarai Rohilla. The victim reported that at around 1:20 p.m., two men allegedly forced their way into his house at knifepoint, bound him and his maid by their mouths and hands with cloth, and stole cash and jewellery valued at Rs 12 lakh.
CCTV footage from the area helped identify two suspects, Mukul and the juvenile.
“With the assistance of technical surveillance and local inquiries, Mukul was arrested on October 10,” Banthia said.
Jaskirat, believed to be the main conspirator, was arrested based on Mukul’s information, and Rs 3 lakh in stolen cash was recovered from him, the officer added.

Following this, the remaining two suspects were also apprehended from the same locality, and Rs 2,79,000 was found in their possession.
The investigation revealed that Jaskirat was acquainted with the victim’s younger daughter and frequently visited their home. He was aware that a significant sum of money was kept in the house due to the victim’s serious health condition and ongoing treatment.
Jaskirat and his accomplices allegedly conspired to steal the cash. Police further stated that the stolen money was divided among the accused, and they are continuing the interrogation to investigate their possible involvement in other crimes.
