A 27-year-old man was stabbed to death in south-east Delhi’s Sunlight Colony area on Wednesday evening, police officials said on Thursday.

The incident occurred near the Sarai Kale Khan bus stand at 4:45 pm, they added.

A police officer identified the deceased as Rohit, also known as Mogli. He had two criminal cases against him for theft and drug smuggling.

Rohit was found lying in a pool of blood with stab wounds on his body. He was taken to AIIMS hospital, where doctors declared him dead, the officer said.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Rohit had a dispute with Javed, who lives in the same locality. Javed allegedly stabbed Rohit and fled the scene.

Javed is a known criminal in the Hazrat Nizamuddin police station area. Teams have been formed to apprehend him, the officer said. (With inputs from PTI)
