The body of a 23-year-old man, identified as Chandan, was recovered in a dilapidated building in the Inderpuri area of west Delhi, according to the police.
A passerby had alerted the authorities about a foul smell emanating from the abandoned structure through a PCR call on Saturday. Upon investigation, law enforcement teams found the body buried under debris at the site.
Preliminary investigations indicate that a section of the old abandoned building collapsed, potentially trapping the man inside and causing his demise, said the police.
Notably, there were no prior reports of the structure collapsing or any missing person’s case filed by the victim’s family, as per the police statement.
The authorities are currently conducting further inquiries into the incident. (With inputs from PTI)
