Several schools in Delhi received bomb threats on Tuesday, marking the second such incident this week and the fifth in nine days, according to officials.

On Monday, around 20 schools, including DPS RK Puram, had received similar threat emails.

An official from the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) stated that a bomb threat call was made concerning Crescent Public School in Saraswati Vihar, northwest Delhi. The official added that fire department personnel, local police, the bomb detection team, and the dog squad conducted a thorough search but found nothing suspicious.

Other schools have also received similar threats, and investigations are still ongoing, the official mentioned.

In response to the re-imposition of anti-pollution measures under Stage 4 of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), schools in Delhi-NCR switched to hybrid mode (combining physical and online classes) on Tuesday. Under the updated GRAP guidelines, students in grades 6-9 and 11 across Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and Gautam Buddh Nagar must attend classes in hybrid mode, while students in grades 10 and 12 are required to attend in person.

Additionally, 44 schools had received similar emails on December 9.

The Delhi Police Special Cell has filed an FIR regarding the threat emails sent to 44 schools and launched an investigation.
