Two individuals lost their lives, and another sustained injuries during a reported clash between two factions in the Ashok Vihar area of northwest Delhi, police said on Tuesday. The incident allegedly took place on Monday evening.
The deceased have been identified as Raghu and Bhura. According to a police official, Raghu, Bhura, and one of their associates allegedly assaulted Ravikant, also known as Dablu, due to a personal feud at Jailer Wala Bagh in Ashok Vihar around 8 pm. Raghu and Bhura fired at Dablu, injuring him severely.
Following this, Dablu’s companions reportedly attacked Raghu and Bhura using knives and stones. Someone from the group also shot at them, resulting in their immediate demise, the officer said.
Raghu and Bhura’s associate managed to escape the scene. The three individuals were involved in criminal cases in northwest Delhi and were engaged in a financial dispute with the opposing group, the officer mentioned.
Dablu has been hospitalized at Fortis Hospital, where his condition is reported to be critical, according to the police. An FIR has been filed, and an active investigation is currently underway. (With inputs from PTI)
