Two men suffer injuries after knife attack in central Delhi

Two men were allegedly stabbed during a quarrel in Paharganj area of central Delhi on Saturday, police said.

The incident took place around 12.30 pm near Satyam T-Point in Main Bazar, Paharganj, following which a PCR call was received at the local police station, they said.

The injured have been identified as two men, both around 40 years old. One is an autorickshaw driver while the other works as a hotel room facilitator/agent, police said.

Both men were taken to Lok Nayak Hospital by members of the public in a private vehicle. They suffered stab wounds to the abdomen and are undergoing treatment, they said.

According to the preliminary inquiry, the two men had a quarrel with a man identified as Shri Ram, who allegedly attacked them with a knife, police said.

A case under appropriate provisions, including those related to attempt to murder, is being registered and further investigation is underway, they added.
