A tragic incident unfolded in east Delhi’s Kalyanpuri area on Saturday morning, resulting in the death of an 18-year-old man. According to the police, the young man, identified as Anshu alias Banda, was stabbed to death by a group of four or five boys. The attack is believed to have been motivated by an old enmity between the victim and the assailants.
The details regarding the age and identities of the attackers were not immediately available, as per the authorities. The police received a distress call at 5:11 am, reporting multiple stab injuries sustained by Anshu, who resided in Trilokpuri. He was promptly taken to LBS Hospital by a PCR van.
Unfortunately, Anshu’s condition was critical, as he had suffered 21 stab wounds. Consequently, he was referred to AIIMS Delhi for advanced medical care. However, despite the efforts of the medical staff, he was declared dead by the hospital. Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Amrutha Guguloth confirmed the unfortunate outcome.
Anshu, before succumbing to his injuries, revealed that he had been attacked by a group of four or five boys. In response, the police have formed two teams to apprehend the suspects, and an investigation is underway. While initial findings suggest that the motive behind the attack was an existing enmity between the victim and the assailants, the exact reason will be determined once the accused individuals are captured, added the police.
