
The Great India Place Mall
A 25-year-old man from Delhi tragically passed away after experiencing breathing difficulties shortly after riding a slide at a water park situated within a mall premises in Noida.
The incident has sparked an investigation by local authorities, aiming to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the sudden demise.
Identified as Dhanjay Maheshwari, the young man had visited the Entertainment City water park at the Great India Place (GIP) Mall in Sector 38A, accompanied by four friends on a Sunday afternoon.
After securing their costumes and stowing away their belongings in lockers, the group proceeded to the slide for a day of fun.
However, tragedy struck when Maheshwari encountered breathing problems while descending the slide. Despite his attempts to rest and alleviate his discomfort, his condition worsened. He was swiftly transported to Kailash Hospital by an ambulance provided by GIP Mall authorities, where medical professionals unfortunately pronounced him dead.
Upon receiving news of the incident, Maheshwari’s family rushed to Noida, and arrangements were made to conduct a postmortem examination on his body. Residing in Delhi’s Adarsh Nagar, Shivaji Road Extension, Maheshwari’s untimely demise has left his loved ones in shock and grief.
Authorities, including Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Manish Mishra, have initiated legal procedures to determine the cause of death. The body has been sent for autopsy, with hopes of obtaining clarity on the circumstances leading to Maheshwari’s tragic passing.
Amidst the investigations, allegations of negligence on the part of the mall’s management have surfaced, prompting a thorough inquiry by law enforcement officials into the matter.
