In a tragic incident reported on Sunday, three individuals were killed and four others sustained injuries after a collision between their car and a truck on the Badarpur flyover in southeast Delhi.

The collision took place late on Saturday as seven men were on their way back to Okhla’s Sanjay Colony after attending a wedding in Faridabad, Haryana, according to police sources.

At approximately 12:48 am, officers at the Badarpur police station received a PCR call alerting them to the accident near the Honda showroom on the Badarpur flyover. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Rajesh Deo confirmed the details.

Following the distress call, police personnel rushed to the scene and transported the injured individuals to AIIMS’ trauma center. As per initial investigations, the car driver lost control and collided with a divider on the flyover. The impact sent the car careening across the road into oncoming traffic, where it crashed into a truck.

The deceased have been identified as Raj (21), Sanju (38), and Dinesh (22). Among the four injured, Ansul (18) is said to be in critical condition, while Neeraj (18), Ajit (28), and Vishal (28) are currently in stable condition.

Raj, a resident of Laxmi Nagar, was unmarried and lived with his father, who is a tailor in Mathura. Sanju, also a resident of Sanjay Colony, was married and had two children. He worked as a laborer in a tailor shop. Dinesh, also from Sanjay Colony, was unmarried and worked as a cloth cutter in an Okhla shop.
