The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here has decided to maintain regular operations on Monday, reversing its earlier announcement to close OPD services until 2:30 pm in light of the consecration ceremony at the Ayodhya Ram temple.

According to a fresh office memorandum issued by AIIMS on Sunday, all clinical services, including Outpatient Services (OPD), will remain open to ensure minimal disruption for patients and facilitate continuous patient care services.

In a similar vein, Lady Hardinge Medical College has also confirmed that all its services, including OPD and emergency services, will be operational throughout Monday.

This decision comes after a previous official memorandum by AIIMS, Delhi, had communicated a half-day holiday on January 22 due to the Ram temple consecration ceremony.

“It is notified for the information of all employees that the Institute will remain closed until 2:30 pm on January 22. All Chiefs of Centres, Heads of the Departments, Units, and Branch Officers are requested to communicate this to the staff under their supervision,” the memorandum had stated, emphasizing that critical and emergency services would still be available.
