The Delhi Commission for Women, led by Chief Swati Maliwal, recently took action against the issue of “missing streetlights” in the national capital.

Maliwal disclosed that following multiple complaints, the commission conducted surprise inspections at various locations, including the Lalita Park bus stand, unveiling significant darkness due to non-functional streetlights.

Expressing concern for women’s safety in poorly lit areas, Maliwal announced that the commission has issued a notice to the Delhi government department responsible for addressing this critical matter. (With inputs from PTI)
