To ensure development in the villages of the Capital, the Delhi Village Development Board has approved 118 schemes worth Rs 242.12 crore on Thursday.
The decision was taken in a Village Development Board meeting which was held at Delhi Secretariat chaired by Development minister Gopal Rai.
The schemes aim to promote the development of villages in the capital city. Various infrastructure projects such as roads, drains, water bodies, community centers, parks, crematoriums, and sports grounds will be undertaken as part of these schemes.
During the meeting, officials were instructed to complete the projects within the designated timeframe and provide reports with geotagged images of the finished work.
Minister Rai emphasized the government’s commitment to providing essential amenities to both urban and rural residents of Delhi.
The implementation of these village development projects will involve the participation of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Irrigation and Flood Control, and other government departments. (With inputs from PTI)
