
Delhi schools will soon introduce a new course, Science of Living, aimed at familiarising students with various forms of meditation, including yoga, mindfulness, and stretching exercises.
According to an official from the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), this course will be available for students from kindergarten to class 10.
The education department is also working on introducing courses focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI).
“As technology continues to evolve, the need to upgrade skills has become essential. To meet this demand, we are developing new courses and activities that will help students stay ahead in the tech-driven world,” the official said.
Several existing schemes and courses are being revised to enhance their impact. One such initiative is New Era of Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Vision (NEV), which will introduce students to business-related activities. The official clarified that NEV will be distinct from the Business Blasters programme and will offer a fresh set of activities.

Additionally, a new programme called Rashtraneeti will be launched to provide students with practical knowledge of governance, democracy, active citizenship, and policymaking. This programme aims to equip students with a deeper understanding of public administration and civic engagement.
