Delhi govt signs MoU with companies for road, flyover beautification work under CSR

The Delhi government on Monday signed an MoU with two private companies, for development of space under Deepali Chowk flyover in north west Delhi, officials said.

The agreement paper was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.

“Delhi government has signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dixon Technologies Limited and Kanodia Group, advancing its resolve for a clean, green, and beautiful city,” Delhi CMO said in a post on X.

Under the partnership, beautification and development of the area under the Deepali Chowk flyover will be taken up under corporate social initiative.

Additionally, murals on pillars depicting Indian culture, modern art, and environment-themed artwork, restoration of the green belt along Mathura Road and MP Marg, and installation of drip irrigation and fencing with pollution-resistant plants will be part of the initiative.

These initiatives, carried out through corporate social responsibility (CSR), will help make Delhi’s public spaces cleaner, greener, more organized and more citizen-friendly.

PWD minister Parvesh Verma, who was alsoi present at the MoU signing, said the government requires public partnerships for better results, and added there are many NGOs and companies that want to help in beautification of Delhi.

Under the MoU, the two companies will have two stretches each for beautification under the CSR initiative, he said.
