
Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 28.6 degrees Celsius on Wednesday with the India Meteorological Department forecasting a generally cloudy sky with moderate rain during the day.
The IMD also issued a yellow alert for strong surface winds during the afternoon and evening hours.
The minimum temperature was 26 degrees Celsius at Palam, 28 degrees at Lodhi Road, 24.5 degrees at the Ridge, and 27.4 degrees Celsius at Ayanagar, all within 1 degree of the seasonal average, weather data showed.
The city’s air quality was ‘moderate’ at 9 am on Wednesday, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) reading of 177, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
According to the CPCB, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 and 500 ‘severe’.
