A tragic incident occurred in the Mustafabad area of northeast Delhi late Monday night, when a 35-year-old man allegedly fell from the second floor of a sweet shop and later died, police officials said on Tuesday.
The incident reportedly took place around midnight. Upon receiving a call, local police immediately rushed to the scene, where they discovered the man lying unconscious on the road outside the shop. He was identified as Kalyan, who was believed to be employed at the same sweet shop where the incident occurred.

According to officials, Kalyan was immediately transported to GTB Hospital for medical attention. However, doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead. Authorities have yet to confirm the exact sequence of events that led to his fatal fall.
A senior police officer said the man may have accidentally fallen, though foul play hasn’t been ruled out. The police are currently verifying the details surrounding the incident, including whether anyone else was present at the time.
To gather more information and preserve any potential evidence, a crime team along with forensic experts visited the site and conducted a thorough examination of the premises. They collected samples and took photographs as part of the investigation.
The sweet shop remains closed for now, and police are questioning other staff members and individuals familiar with the deceased to gather more insight into what might have transpired.
An official case has been registered, and further proceedings are ongoing. Authorities say they are awaiting the autopsy report, which will help shed light on whether the fall was accidental or if other factors were involved.
