The Delhi Police’s Special Cell conducted a pan-India operation resulting in the arrest of nine criminals and one juvenile implicated in cases involving shootouts, extortions, killings, and arms supply to the Lawrence Bishnoi-Goldy Brar gang, officials reported.
During the operation, the police seized seven pistols, 31 live cartridges, and 11 mobile phones from the apprehended individuals across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Pratiksha Godara, the arrests, supervised by inspectors Shiv Kumar and Satish Rana and ACPs Lalit Mohan Negi and Hridya Bhushan, were made in seven states, with two arrests each in Delhi, UP, and Punjab, and one each in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Bihar.
The Bishnoi-Brar gang, led by Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, has been implicated in high-profile crimes, including the murders of Punjabi singer Sinddu Moosewala and Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. Additionally, they have issued threats to Bollywood actor Salman Khan and were involved in a firing incident outside his residence.
One of the arrested individuals, Manjeet Singh alias Guri, 22, previously faced charges related to an attack on police personnel and assaulting a fellow inmate while in jail. Guri, in contact with Brar through Ajay Rana, attempted a murder on Brar’s instructions in November 2023.
Among the other arrested individuals are Jaspreet Singh alias Rahul, 25, with prior criminal involvement in NDPS and Arms Act cases in Amritsar, and Sachin Kumar alias Rahul, 26, who supplied weapons to Bishnoi gang members. Santosh alias Sultan Baba, 20, and Dharmendra alias Kartik, 21, also had criminal affiliations and were involved in supplying weapons to the gang. Additionally, Santosh Kumar, 27, supplied weapons to Bishnoi-Brar gang members.
