Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 23.8°C on Tuesday, which is normal for this time of year, as the city braces for a dry week ahead.
With the monsoon set to withdraw from the region in the coming days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast dry weather for the next seven days across Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR).
According to the IMD, there are no signs of rainfall in the forecast, with clear skies and rising daytime temperatures expected to dominate the weather pattern. The maximum temperature is likely to hover between 33°C and 35°C, marking a return to warmer and sunnier conditions as the humid monsoon gradually retreats.

“Conditions are becoming favorable for the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from Delhi,” said an IMD official. The official monsoon retreat marks the transition into the post-monsoon season, typically bringing drier air, clearer skies, and cooler nights in the weeks ahead.
While humidity levels may ease slightly, residents are advised to stay cautious of midday heat, particularly under direct sunlight. The absence of cloud cover may lead to slightly warmer days, although nights will remain pleasant.
Delhi’s monsoon season this year has been marked by fluctuating rainfall and brief intense showers, but the IMD notes that the overall trend now points to a consistent dry phase.
The weather department will continue to monitor atmospheric conditions and provide updates on the monsoon’s official withdrawal, expected shortly.
