Delhi records minimum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius

Delhi on Monday recorded a minimum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius at Safdarjung, the city’s primary weather station, 1.9 degrees above normal, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The minimum temperature was 24.8 degrees Celsius at Palam, 26.7 degrees at Lodhi Road, 22.5 degrees at the Ridge and 24.6 degrees at Ayanagar.

No rainfall was recorded at these weather stations in the 24 hours ending 8:30 am, the IMD data showed.

Delhi’s air quality was recorded in the ‘satisfactory’ category on Monday with the average air quality index (AQI) clocked at 72, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

According to the CPCB, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 to 500 ‘severe’.

The IMD has predicted cloudy skies with light rain in the city for the day, with the maximum temperature likely to touch 33 degrees Celsius.
