IMD predicts light rain, dust storm today
The national capital on Sunday experienced light rainfall in certain areas, accompanied by a maximum temperature of 33.7 degrees Celsius, which is six notches below the seasonal average, as reported by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Conversely, the minimum temperature settled at 23.8 degrees Celsius, three notches below the seasonal average, according to the IMD.
The IMD has forecasted a generally cloudy sky with light rain or drizzle for Monday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to reach around 35 and 24 degrees Celsius, respectively.
During the period from Saturday 8:30 am to Sunday 8:30 am, the city received a rainfall of 3 mm.
At 8:30 am, the relative humidity was recorded at 86 percent.
Based on data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 173 at 6 pm, categorizing it as moderate. The AQI scale ranges from zero to 500, with values between 0 and 50 considered good and 401 to 500 classified as severe.
The Air Quality Early Warning System has projected that Delhi’s air quality will remain in the moderate category from June 4 to June 7.
