Students and organisations in the national capital on Thursday intensified protests against the cancellation of the NEET-UG examination over an alleged paper leak.
The Association of Students for Alternative Politics (ASAP) protested outside the office of the National Testing Agency (NTA), the organisation responsible for conducting the medical entrance examination.
“Ever since the BJP came to power, this is the fourth or fifth time that there has been a paper leak. They are playing with students’ lives,” an ASAP member said during the protest.
Others raised slogans demanding accountability and asked the government to “stop playing with the future of students”.
Meanwhile, several student organisations joined a protest called by the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union at Jantar Mantar in the afternoon.
Students held placards that read: “Stop the scam; education is not a commodity, it’s a right”, “Sack Union Education Minister”, and “Give exemplary punishment to all involved in NEET paper leak”.

The protests come days after the NTA cancelled the NEET-UG 2026 examination conducted on May 3, following allegations of paper leaks and irregularities.
The agency announced that it would conduct the examination again, the dates for which would be notified later, triggering outrage and anxiety among students and parents across the country.
