Panic struck Ram Lal Anand College of Delhi University when a staff member received a bomb threat message on their mobile phone Thursday morning, according to police.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Rohit Meena stated that the staff member received a WhatsApp message at 9:34 am.
Following this, police, along with an ambulance, the Bomb Detection Team, and the Bomb Disposal Squad, swiftly arrived at the college and evacuated students and staff, Meena said.
“The premises are being thoroughly searched and checked. At present, no suspicious items have been discovered,” the officer said. (With inputs from PTI)
