The timings of the last Delhi Metro trains on all corridors, except the Airport Express line, will be extended by around 30-45 minutes on IPL match days at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, formerly known as the Ferozshah Kotla ground.

The stadium is located next to the Delhi Gate Metro station, which falls on the violet line between Kashmere Gate and Raja Nahar Singh.

In a statement released on Monday, the Delhi Metro said that it will be extending the last train timings on all lines, except the Airport Line, to ensure that spectators can reach their destination smoothly. The matches will take place on April 4, 11, 20, and 29, as well as May 6, 13, and 20.

The officials have planned additional train trips beyond the normal timings in a way that they will provide a connecting service to all directions from the interchange stations of Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, Kashmere Gate, Kirti Nagar, Inderlok, and Lajpat Nagar. Furthermore, additional token-vending machines, pre-vended token counters, and staff will be deployed at the Delhi Gate metro station to facilitate passengers on match days. (With inputs from PTI)
