India’s rich and diverse cultural heritage is taking center stage at the G20 Summit venue, showcasing a wide array of products from various regions. At the Bharat Mandapam complex, a ‘Craft Bazaar’ has been set up, featuring everything from intricately adorned sarees from South India to handcrafted treasures from the northeastern part of the country.

In addition to these, visitors can marvel at a marble replica of the iconic Taj Mahal and admire tribal arts on display. The exhibition focuses on the ‘One District, One Product’ initiative and showcases Geographical Indication (GI)-tagged items, providing delegates a unique opportunity to purchase locally-sourced products.

Muktesh Pardesi, the G20 India Special Secretary, revealed that products from every state and Union Territory are being proudly exhibited at the bazaar. Notably, ‘Gamosas’ from Assam, featuring the G20 logo and the theme ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — One Earth. One Family. One Future,’ have been showcased. Additionally, visitors can explore the elegance of silk sarees from Tamil Nadu, the charm of Madhubani art-printed fabric from Bihar, and a variety of Khadi products.

The event has also featured a captivating live demonstration by master craftspeople, offering a glimpse into the remarkable skills and craftsmanship of Indian artisans. The G20 Summit itself commenced on a weekend at the Bharat Mandapam complex in Pragati Maidan, marking a grand celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage and craftsmanship on the global stage.
