Labourer electrocuted to death at under-construction site on Delhi hospital premises

A tragic incident occurred on Sunday at an under-construction building within the premises of a hospital, resulting in the electrocution death of a labourer, officials said.
Officials said that the deceased has been identified as Sujeet Kumar, a resident of Samastipur in Bihar.
They said that at around 9 am, Kumar was brought to the emergency of the Delhi government-run Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital but was declared brought dead by the doctors.
Kumar was employed as a labourer at the construction site situated on the hospital premises when the electrocution incident took place, they added.
According to officials, another labourer witnessed the accident and promptly rushed Kumar to the emergency room.
Authorities, including forensic experts and a crime team from the Delhi Police, subsequently inspected the scene of the incident.
The police have assured that necessary legal action after an investigation into the incident. (With inputs from PTI)
