Amid ongoing sultry weather, Delhi is expected to experience light rain on Wednesday, with the minimum temperature recorded at 31.6 degrees Celsius, which is 3.7 degrees above the seasonal average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
At 8:30 am, the city’s humidity level was at 62 per cent.
The IMD forecast predicts very light rain accompanied by gusty winds of 20-30 km/h during the day.

Rainy weather is expected to continue in the national capital until July 1, as per the IMD’s seven-day forecast. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 39 degrees Celsius.
On Tuesday, the relative humidity ranged between 51 per cent and 76 per cent, as per the IMD bulletin.
The heat index forecast for the next 48 hours is between 48 and 50 degrees Celsius. The heat index combines air temperature and relative humidity, measuring how hot it feels when humidity is considered along with the actual air temperature. This is also known as the apparent temperature or the temperature the body perceives.
The national capital will be on a ‘yellow’ alert for the next seven days.
The IMD uses four colour-coded warnings: ‘green’ (no action needed), ‘yellow’ (watch and stay updated), ‘orange’ (be prepared), and ‘red’ (take action).
The IMD also mentioned that the monsoon is likely to arrive in Delhi by the end of the month. (With inputs from PTI)
