Light rain likely in Delhi

Delhi woke up to partially cloudy skies on Tuesday with the minimum temperature settling at 27.2 degrees Celsius, 2.1 degrees above the season’s normal.

The city is likely to witness a generally cloudy sky with light rain during the day, while the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 33 degrees Celsius.

Among the weather stations, Lodi Road recorded the highest minimum temperature at 26.6 degrees Celsius, 2.6 degrees above normal. Ayanagar recorded 26.3 degrees Celsius, 1.9 degrees above normal, while Palam recorded 24.4 degrees Celsius, 0.5 degrees below normal.

The Ridge recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 22.5 degrees Celsius, 1.7 degrees below normal.

The relative humidity was 50 per cent in the morning.

Delhi’s air quality index (AQI) stood at 96 at 9 am, in the “satisfactory” category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board.

According to the CPCB’s AQI scale, a reading between 0 and 50 is considered “good”, 51-100 “satisfactory”, 101-200 “moderate”, 201-300 “poor”, 301-400 “very poor” and 401-500 “severe”.
