Light rain likely in Delhi

Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 26.8 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, with the weather office predicting a generally cloudy sky with light rain during the day.

Among the weather stations, Lodi Road recorded the highest minimum temperature at 26.2 degrees Celsius, 2.2 degrees above the season’s normal. Ayanagar recorded 25.8 degrees Celsius, 1.4 degrees above normal, while Palam recorded 25.2 degrees Celsius, 0.3 degrees above normal.

The Ridge recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 22.8 degrees Celsius, 1.4 degrees below normal.

No rainfall was recorded at Safdarjung, Palam, Lodi Road and Ayanagar during the past 24 hours, while the Ridge recorded trace rainfall, according to the India Meteorological Department.

Delhi’s air quality index (AQI) stood at 98 at 9 am, in the “satisfactory” category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board.

According to the CPCB’s AQI scale, a reading between 0 and 50 is considered “good”, 51-100 “satisfactory”, 101-200 “moderate”, 201-300 “poor”, 301-400 “very poor” and 401-500 “severe”.
