
Delhi woke up to overcast skies and humid weather on Friday, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting light rain and thunderstorms for the day.
The Safdarjung observatory, which serves as the city’s base station, recorded a minimum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is expected to settle around 36 degrees Celsius.
The relative humidity stood at 72 per cent at 8.30 am, according to IMD’s morning bulletin.
The IMD has predicted cloudy skies, light rain and thunderstorms during the day in the national capital Delhi.
Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded a reading of 128, in the ‘moderate’ category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

An AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 to 500 ‘severe’.
