A massive fire broke out at a chemical factory in Sector 2 of Noida early Friday morning, sending thick plumes of smoke over the area and alarming residents in nearby sectors. The fire started around 5.30 AM at Shyam Paints Industries, located at D-93, and spread rapidly due to the presence of highly inflammable materials, officials said.

Over 20 fire tenders were deployed to the site, with local police also assisting in the operation. Dousing efforts were ongoing at the time of reporting. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties have been reported so far.

Visuals of the blaze, showing dense black smoke rising from the industrial building, were widely shared on social media by local residents. Authorities have cordoned off the area and urged people to stay away from the site.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, another major fire erupted in the early hours of Friday at a factory in Delhi’s Bawana Industrial Area. The fire was reported around 4:15 AM from a unit located at A-31, Sector-4, DSIIDC in Bawana, according to Delhi Fire Services (DFS).

DFS chief Atul Garg confirmed that 22 fire tenders were rushed to the spot, and firefighting operations are still underway. “No one received any injury so far,” Garg said, adding that the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Both incidents occurred within hours of each other in the National Capital Region, which includes Noida and parts of Delhi. While no casualties have been reported in either case, investigations are likely to follow once the fires are brought under control.
