A 48-year-old motorcyclist was killed and a pillion rider injured after their motorcycle collided with a truck on the Dehradun Expressway in east Delhi, police said on Monday.
The accident took place around 10:30 pm on Sunday near the overbridge opposite the SDM office in the Laxmi Nagar area, they said.
Police received a PCR call about the accident involving a truck and a motorcycle and rushed to the spot, where both vehicles were found damaged.

The deceased was identified as Shiv Kumar, 48, a senior police officer said.
Kumar was taken to Dr Hedgewar Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Another person, identified as Chandan Gupta, was injured in the accident and shifted to a hospital for treatment.
A team inspected the accident site and an FIR has been registered at Laxmi Nagar police station, they said, adding that further investigation is underway to establish the circumstances leading to the collision and ascertain the role of the truck driver.
