
Panic spread across schools in the national capital and adjacent Noida as six of them were recieved bomb threats on Wednesday morning, according to police officials.
Mother Mary School in Mayur Vihar, Delhi Public School in Dwarka, Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri, Delhi Public School in Vasant Kunj, Amity School in Saket, and Delhi Public School (DPS) in Noida Sector 30 were among those receiving threatening emails, authorities confirmed.
Following the alerts, all schools swiftly evacuated their premises upon notification to the local police.
Bomb detection teams, disposal squads, and fire brigade personnel were promptly dispatched to conduct thorough searches across the affected schools in Delhi.
Classes were suspended at DPS, Noida, with heightened police presence as a precautionary measure, Noida Police said.
Further investigations are underway to trace the origin of the threats, with suspicions suggesting a single perpetrator behind the emails, security officials disclosed, including the involvement of Delhi Police Special Cell. (With inputs from PTI)
