Over 700 flats were booked under Delhi Development Authority’s two residential schemes in Narela area within two days of launch, officials said on Friday.

Under the ‘DDA Karmayogi Awaas Yojana’ 2025, flats are offered to retired government employees. DDA recently offered an additional 936 flats in Pocket 6, Sector A1-A4, Narela.

“The booking commenced on March 26 on the occasion of Ram Navami and witnessed an enthusiastic response, with over 400 flats booked within just two days,” an official statement said.

Similarly, under the ‘DDA Nagrik Awaas Yojana’ 2026, a total of 1,944 low-income group (LIG) flats were offered in Sector G7/G8, Narela, out of which over 300 flats have already been sold, reflecting steady demand from the general public, the statement added.

“Under the guidance of Lt Governor Delhi Taranjit Singh Sandhu, the DDA has recorded a strong and encouraging response to its housing schemes in Narela, reaffirming growing public confidence in the area’s emergence as a modern sub-city of Delhi,” the statement added.

The success of these schemes highlights the increasing attractiveness of Narela as a preferred residential destination, DDA added
