Sarai Kale Khan, New Ashok Nagar Namo Bharat stations to be closed due to October 10 protest

The Sarai Kale Khan and New Ashok Nagar Namo Bharat stations will remain closed from 9 pm on Friday till 10 pm on Saturday in view of the scheduled protest in Delhi, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation said.

The Namo Bharat train services between Anand Vihar in Delhi and Modipuram in Uttar Pradesh will continue to operate as per schedule during the period, it said.

The closure will come into effect on Friday and continue till 10 pm on October 10. Passengers have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly, the NCRTC said in an advisory.

The closure comes ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party’s call for a protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on Saturday, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
