Sidhu Moosewala murder case: Two more arrested by Delhi Police’s Special Cell

Two more people, Ankit and Sachin Bhiwani, allegedly involved in the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala have been arrested, bringing the tally of those arrested by the city police to five.

While Bhiwani was responsible for sheltering four of the shooters, Ankit was one of the shooters involved in the killing, the police have stated. Besides a 9-mm pistol with10 live cartridges, a 30-mm pistol with nine live cartridges have been seized from their possession. Three uniforms of Punjab Police and two mobile handsets with a dongle and SIM card have also been confiscated from the two men. 

Bhiwani, a native of Haryana, is known to handle the operations of Lawrence Bishnoi gang in Rajasthan. Ankit, a resident of Sersa village in Haryana, is named in two other cases of attempt to murder (section 307 of the Indian Penal Code) in Rajasthan.

Last month, the police arrested three people in connection to the Moosewala murder case, and were identified as Priyavrat alias Fauji (26), a resident of Sonipat in Haryana; Kashish (24), also from the state’s Jhajjar district; and Keshav Kumar (29), a resident of Bhatinda in Punjab.

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, known as Sidhu Moosewala, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Punjab’s Mansa district on May 29.
