The incident was reported to the Dwarka Sector 23 police station at 8 am via a PCR call. A police team was immediately dispatched to the scene, according to a senior police officer.
Upon arrival, officers found Akashdeep unconscious at the scene. He was transported to DDU Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. His body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
Police revealed that Akashdeep was riding his Royal Enfield motorcycle when he was hit by the truck. The driver fled the scene with the vehicle.

On Sunday morning a Noida resident died after being hit by a speeding Audi car, which reportedly tossed him into the air, police said.
The vehicle, described as a white Audi, and its driver have not yet been identified, according to a senior police official.
“A man named Pradeep, who resides near Gijhor village, came to the Sector 24 police station and reported that his father, Janak Dev Sah, had been involved in a car accident and had passed away,” stated Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida) Manish Mishra.
“An FIR was promptly filed, and legal procedures, including a post-mortem, were initiated. We are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the vehicle, and various police teams are actively working on the case,” Mishra added.
CCTV footage revealed that the victim was struck by a white Audi.
Mishra assured that the police would soon locate the car and take appropriate action.
In another related incident in Noida on May 16, two people, including a nurse, were killed, and three others were hospitalized after a minor driving a BMW collided with their e-rickshaw.
Two individuals from the BMW were apprehended by the police, while a third escaped. An FIR was filed in that case as well.
