Three arrested for stabbing youth in Delhi

Three individuals, including a juvenile, were arrested by the police on Saturday for allegedly stabbing a young man and robbing him of his scooter and mobile phone in Badarpur area of Delhi. The incident took place in Badarpur area in south east Delhi district on Friday.

According to police, the incident occurred as a result of an ongoing feud. The accused have been identified as Deepak, also known as Jitendra, 24, and Vicky,  25, both residents of Badarpur.
A senior police officer stated that the entire incident was captured on a CCTV camera.
He said that following an investigation into the matter, the police apprehended the three individuals involved.
Acting on their information, the authorities successfully recovered the stolen scooter, the victim’s mobile phone, and the knife used in the crime, he added.
Rajesh Deo, the Deputy Commissioner of Police for the southeast district, disclosed that Jitendra had a criminal record at the Badarpur police station.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the motive behind the attack was retaliation. Jitendra claimed that Sumit had previously assaulted his brother, Sunny, approximately two months prior, he said.
Seeking to settle the score, Jitendra, along with his two accomplices, carried out the stabbing and robbery against Sumit, said Deputy Commissioner of Police. (With inputs from PTI)
