Three youths who had come to swim in the Yamuna river have drowned, Delhi police said on Friday as they retrieved their bodies this morning.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (north) Sagar Singh Kalsi said four people aged between 14 and 20 years had come from Loni to take bath in the river at Sonia Pushta, Burari on Thursday noon but they did not return home following which their families approached the police.
Police found a motorcycle, some clothes at the bank of the river and a search and rescue operation was started.
Divers have been looking for the fourth person but it is feared that he may have also drowned.
